This is my '65 f-85... It's a plain jane V-8 car with very little options... Just a shell right now, plans are to keep it very sedate looking. I've got a nice clean platform to start with, and i'm just collecting parts at this point. -Pete

Thanks Bob! Well, i'd love to find a bench seat in nice condition... door panels... i'll need a hood eventually to get rid of the one with the scoop on it.

Pete, nice car you have there, a very good project car. Am also looking for the same stuff you are looking for the seat, door panels so if hear of two of everything please let me know and I will do the same. You did the right thing by posting what you needed on this site cause if these guys have it they will let you know. Good luck and stay in touch.

Wow, this car is really cool! I am actually in the process of changing my F85 into a drag car which looks like what you are trying to do the opposite! But I wanted to say that I do have a bench seat with the 2 backrests! They are not in the greatest shape and are red. They will need to be redone but the frames are good. PM me if you want some pictures.

Thanks man! Actually i have a few bench seats...i was just looking for some that were already upholstered. The pattern that's offered aftermarket isn't near correct. Looks like i'll have to buy fabric from SMS. are you planning on cutting a hole in your hood? -Pete

You have a nice car to start with. I like the single bar trim on the rear end. I wish mine came with it as I think that it has a cleaner look. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.

Me too ! love that simple look and think I may upgrade my Cutlass by downgrading the rear trim. Also like the smooth side look w/o trim. I should have just bought an F85 !

Hey guys! Just stopped on to check in. Haven't really started work on the '65 yet. Been cranking on my Rallye. Updated my gallery and here she still sits. Just picked up a new hood to get rid of this hideous scoop from Joe in East Rockaway, NYC. Great Guy, he's on here. Really started me thinking about jumping into this car hot and heavy and get wrenching on it. Picking up the engine from my parents garage this weekend. Anyone have a good wire harness manufacturer they like? -pete

Pete, what are the plans for the '65? Is it going to be as wicked as the Rallye?

Not even close! The Rallye is really fun but a real time suck sometimes. Lots a maintenance. I want this car to be cruiser. Maybe mid 13's...that's it. I'm thinking body colored steelies and a little bit of an old super stock vibe. I want to redo the original f85 interior instead of just getting the cutlass stuff from the catalog. -pete

Sounds cool. I like the body colored steel wheels idea. I had considered that for mine as well.
