you should be fine, both engines fit the same brackets, you must use all the pulleys as well, and the waterpump too, or buy the same size new, there are three different lengths of the snout

I've started my tear down on 65 4door sedan have the whole front cliff off car , front fenders, hood, iner fenders, core support , front grille and bumper and need to be removed most of all air conditioning parts but the dash and harness needs to be removed. car floors are good shape and so is frame along with rear quarters and trunk-lid and bumper for inquiries just e-mail

where are you located? the a/c parts on a 65 will bolt on a 68 400 but are not correct for a 68 car if that's your plan.the a/c compressor location on a 65 is completely different, opposite side of engine

also be aware the right cowl is different, part of the ac unit sets inside of it behind the fender. the side vent is also in a different position. I removed the ac on my 65,changed the vent location so the kick panel and vents fit right, changed the front of the cowl panel, blocked 2 holes in the firewall. you will need to do the opposite to fit factory ac in a non ac car.easier to do aftermarket ps,your heater controls from 65 wont fit the 68,they will also need changing
