My 53 year old heater/AC blower motor (made in NY) has started squealing, mostly on low speeds. Can this be fixed (oiled), or is a new one in order?
If new one is needed, who sells a quality replacement? Or are they all the same? They range from $19 - $50.

i am surprised no one has replied to your question yet but NO, oiling will not fix this.like i'm sure many others that have painstakingly drilled a hole in order to oil the bearing it doesn't last/work.over the years it seems to me the a/c cars with the hose to the motor are more prone to failure.i can't help with recommending a good replacement.i have always put a used one in.good luck
