I'm confused about which carbs and manifolds were used on 400 motors. I think I've heard that both the 4GC and quadrajets were used and the manifolds for the 4GC must be the one with 4 holes the same size while the quadrajet used a manifold with larger holes for the secondaries. Am I correct in this thinking or was the 4GC only used on the 330 motor?

All 1965-older 4bbl Olds motors used the 4GC. All 1966-up 4bbl Olds motors used the Qjet. There is no confusion about this.
