Now the dilemma. Start up the engine, and the reality of 50 year old design will spoil the perfect picture with drips and fuel leaks.
Like watching the pretty girl from afar. But, recognizing the high maint factor, lurking near.
Very fine work.

Wet nice! I am also under the engine bay construction, how bad was the cost on the new 134a ac parts ?

Funny Alan, but these pictures were taken after about 50 miles of driving. No oil leaks, antifreeze leaks, and just one small gas line leak. Still need to dial it in some more.
Thanks all for nice comments.
As for A/C parts, all I did so far was the POA valve, expansion valve, and condenser. Not cheap to say the least.

My girl wants to know the A/C is working, before she commits to the summer ride. So the A/C is worth every penny.

Thanks guys. I got the car running but ran out of warm weather before I could dial it in. I was able to correct a vacuum leak that was occurring between the carb base and manifold. The Felcro gasket was simply too thin, so I purchased a Victor Reinz which seems to have helped a lot.
