Interested in how many are going this way? I love the sound of dual quads sucking air.

Which one? There are two aftermarket manufacturers of dual quad intakes for the BBO, Edelbrock and Offy. Neither are in production today, so used are your only options. The Edelbrock is a dual plane intake and much harder to find. The Offy came as either single plane or the goofy 180 deg split version (essentially two single plane intakes that fed the right and left cylinder banks). It should tell you something that no manufacturer has ever come out with an intake like that 180 version.
Personally, even with a pair of 500 CFM carbs, you've got way more airflow than you need. I'd avoid the single plane version. I've run the E-brock dual plane version on a 455 with two 500 CFM AFB carbs and progressive linkage in a 71 Cutlass. The car ran great and got 15 MPG. I did need to play with jetting and rods to get it right.

Thanks Joe.
You are correct that the two 500s are more than I need. I have the Offy 180 version.
I ran one of these on my drag car in the late 60s- early 70s. Was a Tornado 425 highly modified, in a 64 Cutlass. Best time was 10.90 at 127 MPH, with 5.13s, and 10.5 x 30 slicks. 7,500 RPM shift and in the traps.
Running two Edelbrocks, with progressive linkage. Have Tremic 5 speed, and 3.90 Chevy 12 Bolt. The weighted air valve in the secondaries should keep me from feeding too much carb, bogging. I am thinking this cam is good to 5,500 RPM. The convertible is not quite road ready.
The 65 400, is bored .030 over and uses a stock spec 442 cam. The Yellow car has the JM 2022, nice lope, with single 650 Edelbrock, 3.90 rear with 4 speed. I wanted a little better idle for this car. And less engine noise at hwy speed with overdrive.
I would like to go with two EFI throttle body carbs, best of both worlds.
