I have been chasing this issue for a few days now.
While the car is at idle, I can hear the engine cut out completely, (just for a split second) but starts firing again before it completely stalls out.
Sometimes it has no fire at all, just turns over, but wont start. Other times it cranks right up.
this car has been sitting for quite a few years now, and just recently,, We installed a 455 in it.
Everything is new at the engine and I am still using points. I am thinking this is the ignition switch itself. Any thoughts on this?
