Why didnt you "BOLD" Sheboygan??? Not a real born wisconsinite? I just F`d up is all !! Got it now And you guessed it, I`m a transplant !! Not far though, I`m a LIONS fan !!! But where I was, if I would have tripped and fell, I would have landed in Wisconsin. Around here if I want LIONS gear I have to order it and ask that it be shipped in in plain brown paper wrapping !! These drunken bastards get ugly on game day

"In the summer of 1837, as the Toledo War was ending and Michigan was gaining its statehood, the Wisconsin territory was officially formed. Wisconsin was, at one point, part of Michigan territory but broke off before it ever had its own name on the upper peninsula. Thus, we never had it. But, if Ohio had just kept to itself and accepted the loss of the Toledo Strip, Michigan would have likely left the upper peninsula for Wisconsin." full article volumeone.org/news/1/posts/2015/08/03/10252_the_small_war_and_how_wisconsin_lost_the_upper

No not part of this great state, more like people from illinois flood wisconsin dells as their UPNORTH. Wisconsin folks as in southeastern WI, Tend to call the U.P. and flood it as our UPNORTH. me personally wounld call pembine and north my beloved area.

That`s too funny !! I was talking to a guy I kinda know in McDonalds this morning while waiting for coffee to brew. Just small talk, I asked what he was up to today. Going "up north" to the cabin he replied(Here we say camp) I asked where his camp was, Pembine he said. That`s a small size coffee drive

I can see Appleton being on the list. I was there for training a few years ago and found a bar with $10 all you could drink. Lol.

Around about 1964, when wisconsin had 18 year old beer bars, I was a border town kid who thought it unfair that his wisconsin friends could go out and get pig drunk legally. There were several ways around this we found out (don`t care to get in to specifics) But to my point, several beer bars in my local area, EVERY Tuesday, had "Buck Night" ALL YOU COULD DRINK DRAFT FOR 1 DOLLAR !!! Every possible disgusting thing you can think of happened those nights, EVERY POSSIBLE THING It`s a miracle I didn`t lose more friends, the list is long enough. These bars were all in the county, you had to drive there, the parking lots were full of "muscle" it wasn`t a good combination at closing time

The Wisconsin summers were a blast at the cabin West on hwy 70 from Minocqua. The resorts and lakes were booming in the 70's, 80's and early 90's. the winters were equally as exciting, going from bar to bar via snowmobile. The trails were endless, as were the drafts. Then....the tech boom hit, airfare became less expensive and we saw business decline and resorts and bars close. It's truly a different experience, both summer and winter, these days. So quite, which is not a bad thing, but sad to see how simple living went to chaotic. However. it is now nice to get away to an area without all the tech.

I resemble that remark. Born and raised in Sheboygan, Wi. but now reside in Escondido, CA for the last 37 years.
