please let me know what parts will interchange from the 330 to the 400, I have two 400 engines, but they are missing the brackets for the alternator, power steering, oil pan....

all of the brackets should interchange, swap the pulleys over too, the length of the waterpump is usually the issue, you can swap it too, oil pans are the same also i believe, different on a toronado only. heads and intake and exhaust manifolds NO. to run a big block in a cutlass you need the 442 only exhaust manifolds or headers. use the 330 engine mounts, if you buy new get the same 330 mounts

65 big block alternator bracket is one year only. Ive had PS brackets that differ too. No idea what they came off of. Id think they would be different from small to big block

use the 330 engine mounts, if you buy new get the same 330 mounts The motor mounts are EXACTLY the same for both engines. It was not until the 1969 model year that Olds used different mounts on the BBO and SBO for the A-body cars, and that difference was due to a strength-related redesign, not because of dimensional changes to the block.

Are you looking for original 65 400 brackets ? If not I will have a set ready by spring for a non AC set up that I will be pulling from a 69 455

I used all the 65 air conditioner style brackets from a 330 over to a 455. everything worked out, except the lower pulley on the crank. I used the 455 balancer, and I believe this is the problem. Any input on this?
