What do you prefer for fuel storage. Stabil or startron. Also does fuel loose octane ratings overtime? Any other additives are also welcomed.

Stabil - poor it in, fill it up, drive a few miles to work it through the system, and put it to sleep for the winter.

I use stabil in my stuff. Although this year the engine is out and I have a brand new tank to go in the car.

I use both, Startron and Sta-Bil, but I use Marine Sta-Bil, it's the green colored one. You can keep fuel fresh for 2+ years.

I used Sta-Bil for years and found it still let the ethanol eat at the aluminum in the carb bowls. There would actually be flakes separating in the bottom. I've been using the green Lucas Product for about 3 years with no problem. You can really notice the problem in small engines 5 to 30 hp. I always use Sunoco Premium plus the Lucas in the Olds and lawn equipment.
