Stan do you mean the mangled mess that some one fiber glassed over or the rust lol
Left quarter was hit and fiberglassed filled Right quarter is a rust farm
If you look on the in side of the trunk on the left quarter you can see the heat shrink spots and I must say, I did not help with the quarter patch today my friend was slow and had it done when I went over after work to cut and make one so we both called it a day and didn't stay late to work in it

So on the lower section of the rear quarter trim there is a gap on the bottom where it meets the lip area . A friend took a pic of his stock quarter and verified that the gap is there. Must be factory

cool, innovative thinking, double check with the piece of lower body chrome everything is in the right spot. someone patched mine and the chrome hardly fits the wheelwell anymore

Maybe I should call this low budget body repair. wheel well was rusted out darn wasn't expecting that so we took the upper section out of the front fender to make a patch strip. Bet some guy in fifty years will be posting "look at this PO body work I need to fix "

Nope !!! Replacing front fender both were tagged in the front so got good used ones awhile back. so both front fenders and some lower sections of a four door door has supplied most sheet metal for this

okay, hoping to have the quarter done by Friday and fill the f85 badge holes on the used fender I have. this was orig cutlass badge, I will be badging it as a 442 clone so I figured I would leave the front v8 badges have to leave some clues lol
also might be getting the final parts that was needed to really start on the engine being rebuilt must be a sign to rebuild before dropping it in. so far I have mt valve covers and performer intake and a 800cfm eddi carb I have a 284 crower cam might be changing to a smaller cam , just need the high compression pistons witch might be in this deal I am trying to make
