Am I missing something here? Should there be time slips ? or something written about the differences.

actually the best ets from either were identical at 12.55,with the 4.33s(110mph vs 108 w/3.91) it was breaking up the last 100 ft.it must be time to take the points and stock coil out.jc

i would have to go from memory(not accurate) 60 ft w/3.91 was 1.88 and 4.33 was 1.73 i cant find those slips and the print doesnt last long on them. if you leave them on you dash in the sun it disappears.

As a kid, all I ran were 4:33s. They sure make these cars jump and one hell of a lot of fun. Of corse gas was slightly cheaper ($0.34 for Sunoco 260) so you could afford to play. They were great in the eighth, but tend to wind up pretty tight on a stock engine in the quarter and not worth a shit for out runnin' the cops on open roads. In town and windy roads were another story.

i went to the 4.33s because the 3.91s didnt leave too well i believe do to the 29.5 tall slicks, tried 26.5 slicks but they went up in smoke.bought the whole 4.33 rear for $400.i should be going thru traps about 5400 rpms.just havin some fun ,i drive it regularly but expect not as much with the 4.33. the 3.91s arent exactly fuel saving either.would like to put 3.55s in and change to the 4.33 for the track,i only go twice a year maybe.

My personal best in a 64 Cutlass was 10.90 at 127 MPH with 5.13, 12 bolt Cheby rear axle. Shifting at 7,500 RPM, and 7,500 RPM through the traps. Was a wild ride. No pictures as the ex torched anything with my name on it.
Motor was bored over 425 Toro engine from 66, with race cam.
What a time machine that was! All day in line for 10 seconds of fun. I guess we still do this. LOL

AY` CARAMBAMakes me wonder how many of us have X`s that either torched our shit, or wrecked it before buggin out ! There appears to be 2 in a row here, and with me, it makes 3 !! With me it was all my secret car cash, anything from my past that would burn, most everything of value sold, and debt, if I put a figure down, you would call me a liar. She put a lot of thought in to it, and took her time. :)I got my two girls, and met the most wonderful partner in the universe
