I just bought a 65 cutlass 4 speed .. Non 442... just wanted to know how rare it is if at all...... it in driving condition but needs to be restored...its a 2 door post.. any info would be greatly appreciated.. thanks

congrats on your fine purchase, i too have a non 442 4 speed, not sure of the rarity though. pics are always a must . 4 speed post, bench or buckets?

Consoles were options, but I'd say no. If it's a Lansing car, it will indicate it with a "G" in the 2 column on the data plate. The 4 speed code would be "L" in the 2 column. It should have a tubular Tee handle shifter like a 64.

Definitely need photos! I'd have to guess the 4 speed is rare. I never see non 442 cars with the 4 speed for sale anyway..... The power truck release is cool. I was surprised the first time I used mine to hear the vacuum. One of my favorite things about the car.

Stan...how is your car coming along? my car hasnt seen any recent work. seems everything else i own keeps breaking, taking time and money away from my ride. i have been gathering parts, chrome, a new shifter, rad support. need a little more welding on the body and shes ready for block sanding and paint. ill get it done

33827 should be a Sport Coupe with post. Ted, a Sports Coupe is a Post, only way they came. ;D A coupe has no post.
