Looking for the piece (or pieces) that go from the air cleaner snorkle to the breather on the 442 lansing set up. Can't tell from the assembly manuel if it's a rubber hose, pipe, combination or what goes into the snorkle itself. Any help on where I can get anything or what I need?

I'm sure someone will whip out a picture or three, but it should be a rubber grommet / nipple, a metal pipe, and another rubber grommet / nipple

oldsproject. Glad to see your sticking with it this time to get your question answered, (even if it means someone using crayons and a napkin) and bro is right, there just might be someone interested in where the parts can be located, mainly the air cleaner snorkel to steel tube grommet. lansing built cars had a VALVE in the right cover, NOT A BREATHER, Freemont built cars for use in California had BREATHERS in the right vover, and a closed oil fill tube cap.
"The Lansing built cars receives the passenger side breather cap, the Freemont cars get the drivers side PCV system with just a hose on the passenger side going to the air cleaner horn."
the breather was in the form of a cap on the oil fill tube for Lansing built cars. The check valve on the right cover also had a vacuum line routed to it for low rpm operation where there wouldn`t be sufficient siphoning action thru the air cleaner snorkel to pull crankcase gasses . Didn`t mean to stomp on your thread, and probably more than you wanted to know, but your first sentence at the opening of your post,
looking for the piece or pieces, never got answered, and I want to know too !!!!!!

looking for the piece or pieces, never got answered, and I want to know too !!!!!! Fusick's sells the nipples and grommets, and the pipes come up on eBay all the time. I think all those parts are not specific to 442's, the 330's had the same setup if I'm not mistaken. Hell, I might have a few on the parts bench as I took my original aircleaners off my two Cutlass' when I installed Holley's on them.

Well if you need one of the valve thingys that go in the valve cover I have one you can have, will need to be cleaned and painted. The air cleaner and pipe I'm hangin on to.

"The Lansing built cars receives the passenger side breather cap, the Freemont cars get the drivers side PCV system with just a hose on the passenger side going to the air cleaner horn."....to my knowledge the Fremont snorkle does not have a hole for any hose. I thought the passenger side tube went back to the carb or the intake.

Found a 'like new" rubber grommet on the air cleaner from my cutlass that was stored away (thanks Mike). So all I need is the pipe that goes from the valve to the snorkle. I know there's one out there somewhere....... Mike/BR[]/Jeff/anyone? ??

The quote your refering to was from an older thread, I only used it to show mis-information. All you need to know is the following. lansing built cars had a VALVE in the right cover, NOT A BREATHER, the lansing cars had breather style oil fiil tube caps. Freemont built cars for use in California had BREATHERS in the right cover, and a closed oil fill tube cap.
