IS THAT DARK TOP ON THE DATA PLATE. I HAVE THE SAME COLOR CONVERTIBLE WITH WHITE AS THE COLOR CODE BUT HAVE PICS OF THE CAR FROM THE PAST WITH THE DARK TOP ON IT....... Thanks for the comments guys, I still have a few things to do, but don't we all. That top is not a 65 color. The top is a 1970 color, the 65 blue color top is a sky blue or a very light blue very similar to the interior. My 442 is a Fremont car so I don't know what it came with originally. I've had a Lucerne Mist vert with a white top before. But a Lucerne Mist car, with a Lucerne Mist interior and the light blue top is waaaay too much light blue for me. I like contrasting colors on my rides when I can. My wife's Cutlass Sports Coupe is a Lucerne Mist lower with a white roof and a Lucerne Mist interior. I changed that one to a black interior as I had stripped another sports coupe that had a nice black interior.

Hey, that's a nice car. Good choice of wheels too. I have a set on my hardtop, and I think they look better than any aftermarket wheel there is. Very cool!

Mike,
Car looks great, I like the dark blue top and the choice of wheels. What size tires are on the car?

The tires and wheels came on the car, the SS1 is one of my favorite wheels for an Olds. And they would have been an easy upgrade for a 65 owner in the 60's to add to their car. I also like the Hurst Wheels as well for a 65. The wheels on my car came from a 71 442 and are the 14x7's to accomodate the disc brake conversion and the wide a*# tires. The tires size is; 265/R50-14's front and back.
