I can get all 3 speeds from the blower...however, I have to wiggle, reposition the switch handle in order to do that. Question: is this switch rebuildable? or is there another fix?

Id check/clean the wire contact on the back then replace the switch if that doesnt work.

So....I am assuming then that the switch is removable and not an integral part of the control assembly? ? Ken

I don't mean to high jack this thread, but I have pulled the switch out and cleaned it up. Seems to be OK now.
The question I have is How do you restore the face plate on the heater control? (The black and white indicator that shows the fan speed) Mine is cloudy??? It looks like a metal tab folds over the plastic face plate from the back side (peeking through the hole where the bulb mounts on the back). I did not want to pull mine apart until I know it would not ruin it. Anyone ever restore one of these??

There is a metal plate that snaps in there to hold the plastic lens in place. You have to pick at the tangs to get it loose then press a little to free it. I then repainted the metal plate and cleaned the plastic lens. I then snapped the two pieces back in there. I remember drilling out the rivets that held the chrome bezel to the lever mechanism. I cant remember why I did that, but I did use some epoxy to put it back together. Long story short I did remove that lens to clean it and it looks 100% better.

You need to host the pics on the net somewhere, like photobucket.com Then you link them here.
