Hi guys, cool forum. just thought i post a few pics of my 65 F85 post. its going to need a lot of work. but its better than junking it. its really bad shape, but getting better. some of you have seen it on the other Olds forums. I saved it from the crusher. Its going to be a gasser. w/straight axle this is a pic of it kinda mocked up. I need to get some new pics. I have a frame for it now. I am using a S-10 frame and the body is sitting on it to figure out where thing need to go. in this pic its on jacks.

Looks like a cool project! Welcome to the forum.
Where do you hail from? We need a few more west-coasters... These mid-west guys are taking over.

Yes... very cool. I've see some of your earlier posts on another forum. I like the latest pix... can really see it coming together.
Any insight what you're going to do motor-wise yet? Yes... I'm a gearhead... ;D

thanks mongoose. not totally set on engine yet. do have very healthy 400 E and a stock ( for now) 455. I would like to put a injection system on it with tubes sticking out of the hood. But $$$ that will cost its gonna have to wait. so may have to come up with something else. That hood is almost to nice to cut a hole in, so that will be last. I may have to find a different one.
later.............

I think if I were starting with a car that needed all that patchwork on the quarters, I'd do the 'altered wheelbase' thing, and move the openings about 8-10" forward! But that's just me! Looks good so far!

You need to look closer at the pics of the car. That's exactly what he's doing.

I saw a couple inches in the rear - maybe 10" in front. I meant WAY UP in the rear! One of the Spike TV shows did it on a Comet - 3-4" from the front door - real obvious! Remember seeing my 1st Altered W/B car at 'The Grove' back in the '60's!!
